Newsnight spoke to a number of those affected who believe their sales have suffered as a consequence. Every year £23bn of online shopping sales in the UK are said to be influenced by reviews – which makes them and people’s trust in them all the more important. Over the weekend Amazon removed 20,000 fake positive from its platform.
