Each day in Canberra, almost 2000 people experience homelessness, and 20 times that are living below the poverty line.

For those doing it tough, the Early Morning Centre provides a warm haven where people can enjoy a meal, a shower and a chat.

But until recently, it’s doors were firmly shut on weekends.
