    Five people have been arrested in central London on Thursday after protesters sprayed fake oil over the front of the Bank of England.

    Extinction Rebellion’s Money Rebellion group said the stunt was “designed to expose the role of banks in the climate and ecological crisis”.

    Last month, Chancellor Rishi Sunak permitted the Bank of England to expand its remit into considering environmental factors in its policymaking.
