Expert: Washington should put aside differences with China and focus on saving lives

As G20 leaders held their first virtual summit Thursday, Chinese President Xi Jinping once again called for cutting tariffs and removing trade barriers. John Gong, professor from the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, said that China and the U.S. should help each other as the pandemic rages on. Gong also said that Washington should put aside differences with China and put lives first, adding that currently it was time to test President Trump’s wisdom as a global leader.
