Expert says coronavirus outbreaks occur in similar environment

Wu Zunyou, the chief epidemiologist at the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said in an interview with CCTV that the similarities among the Huanan seafood market in Wuhan, the Xinfadi wholesale market in Beijing, and the seafood company in Dalian suggest that coronavirus outbreaks occur in a similar environment, which is moist, cool, and so suitable for the virus to survive. Therefore, he stressed that proper ventilation could greatly reduce the risk of the coronavirus outbreak.
