China held a media conference on the COVID-19 origin tracing study on July 22. Liang Wannian, the Chinese leader of the World Health Organization-China joint expert team, said the data on the early patients were displayed in Wuhan for joint research by Chinese and foreign experts. Considered protecting patients’ privacy, China did not agree to provide the original data, copies or photographs, which international experts also believe is international practice, said Liang.
