According to a study by Tsinghua University, China’s carbon dioxide emissions could plateau by 2025 before declining around 2030, with reinforced management policies in emission reduction. In an exclusive interview in October, the head of the institute that published the study, and also China’s special envoy for climate change affairs, Xie Zhenhua, said China has a clear roadmap to fulfill its commitments and China will focus on the current long-term perspectives to find a substantial way to solve the problems.
