The European Union’s police agency, Europol, will be forced to delete much of a vast store of personal data related to individuals who have not been found guilty of any crime by the EU data protection watchdog.
The European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) has compared Europol’s practices with those at the American spy agency, as revealed by whistleblower Edward Snowden in 2013.

In the Caribbean, it consists of three special municipalities: the islands of Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba. The country’s official language is Dutch, with West Frisian as a secondary official language in the province of Friesland, and English and Papiamentu as secondary official languages in the Caribbean Netherlands. Dutch Low Saxon and Limburgish are recognised regional languages (spoken in the east and southeast respectively), while Sinte Romani and Yiddish are recognised non-territorial languages.
The police are a constituted body of persons empowered by a state, with the aim to enforce the law, to ensure the safety, health and possessions of citizens, and to prevent crime and civil disorder. Their lawful powers include arrest and the use of force legitimized by the state via the monopoly on violence.
