There is growing evidence that a disproportionate number of NHS workers from BAME backgrounds are dying with coronavirus.
What is still not known for certain is why. The initial results of a Public Health England review are due next week which will take into account the affects it is having on NHS staff and the wider community.
Following on from an ITV News survey which found many staff felt systemic discrimination was to blame ITV News health editor Emily Morgan spoke to leading ethnic minority figures in the NHS about what might be behind the trend.
