DW News published this video item, entitled “Ethiopian military launches new air strikes on Tigray region | DW News” – below is their description.

Ethiopia’s military launched air strikes on the capital of the war-battered Tigray region on Monday.

Tigray media and local hospital sources say the attack on Mekelle killed three civilians. Ethiopia’s government initially denied it had conducted airstrikes, but later state-run media said the air force targeted communications infrastructure in the city. The air raids were the first on Mekelle since the early stages of the war in northern Ethiopia, which began nearly a year ago. The United Nations says it’s concerned about the escalation of violence, as the region faces a looming humanitarian crisis.
