(Spanish) Remarks by António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, at the Colombia Peace Accord’s 5-year Anniversary Event.
The Secretary-General will participate in an event to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the signing of the Final Peace Agreement between the Government of Colombia and the former FARC-EP guerrillas.
The event will be held at the Special Jurisdiction for Peace (JEP) headquarters in Bogota. JEP is one of the three entities of the transitional justice system created by the Peace Agreement. The two signatories of the Agreement in 2016, former President of Colombia and Nobel Peace Prize winner, Juan Manuel Santos; and the leader of the former guerrilla and today the Comunes political party leader, Rodrigo Londoño will be attending the event and addressing the audience. Also in attendance will be authorities of the Nation, congressmen and representatives from the diplomatic corps.
