EPP Group: New Brexit delay possible with clear reasons

The European People’s Party (EPP) Group in the European Parliament has said a new Brexit delay is “possible with clear reasons”.

According the the Group:

The European Parliament is likely to approve a Resolution on Brexit that would support a third extension, provided the UK gives concrete reasons for it and continues to participate in the EU Institutions, including nominating a new EU Commissioner, says Danuta Hübner, EPP Group Member of the Brexit Steering Group. She spoke after a closed-door briefing to the EPP Group by the EU’s Chief Brexit Negotiator Michel Barnier. Hübner says the UK has so far put no new proposals on the table.
