Professor Greg Dore is an infectious disease physician at the Kirby Institute and he is optimistic more than half of the Australian population will be vaccinated by the end of the year if there are more vaccines.

He said the government should not dismiss cash incentives and there needs to be a higher vaccine uptake of all ages.
