Environmental experts weighed in on China’s efforts in ecological protection and Chinese President Xi Jinping’s speech at the opening ceremony of the 14th Meeting of the Conference of the Contracting Parties to the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands. Iraqi environmental expert Haider Mohamed lauded China’s remarkable contributions to ecological protection and successful experience which can be learned by other countries. Freeman Mubanga, head of research at the Center for Environment Justice in Zambia, hailed Xi’s remarks as a revolutionary speech.
