‘Enormous tragedy’: Three US firefighters die in plane crash while battling NSW bushfires | ABC News

They came to Australia to help fight the bushfires that have gripped the nation for months.

Now three United States citizens won’t be returning home.

They’ve been killed in a Large Air Tanker crash in the New South Wales Snowy Mountains.

The plane came down while waterbombing a large blaze.

There are no survivors.

All Large Air Tankers have now been grounded as a mark of respect.
