Power Outage Reaction: Queensland’s Energy Minister has defended the state’s electricity network after a fire in a Central Queensland power station cut power to hundreds of thousands of homes yesterday afternoon.

Mick de Brenni says he can “categorically confirm” there is enough electricity to supply households and businesses across the state, accusing the Opposition of wanting to privatise the network.
