Energy crisis: Climate minister says energy rationing unlikely

Sky News published this video item, entitled “Energy crisis: Climate minister says energy rationing unlikely” – below is their description.

Climate minister Graham Stuart says he “does not expect” energy rationing to occur this winter.

His comments follow yesterday’s warning by the National Grid that households could face three-hour planned blackouts in some rare circumstances.

Asked if the public should be using less energy, Mr Stuart said the government was “not sending that out as a message”.

It has been reported that the prime minister Liz Truss has stopped a £15m public information campaign telling people how to use less energy.
