It’s a social taboo; very few people talk openly about it and yet around one in four women will experience a miscarriage. In a special edition focusing on reproductive health, we look at how to end the stigma surrounding the issue. Annette Young also talks to Finnish journalist, Pihla Hintikka, who has written a feminist guide to pregnancy, on why there is such a problem with people talking about their experiences. Plus the ongoing problem of obstetric abuse with women now speaking out about procedures given to them without their consent.
