  • Al Jazeera English published this video item, entitled “Elephants forced to migrate due to loss of habitat in China” – below is their description.

A loss of habitat due to urban expansion has forced a herd of wild Asian elephants to leave their home in the south of China.

They are heading north towards the provincial capital of Kunming.

As Al Jazeera’s Katrina Yu reports from Yunnan province, conservationists say the mammals have wandered hundreds of kilometres from their home, leaving a trail of destruction.
