Joe Biden, the Democratic hopeful for the presidential election in November will be picking his running mate in the days to come.
The Vice President is, as the cliche goes, only a heartbeat away from the presidency. In the age of coronavirus – with two candidates well into their seventies – perhaps that proximity has never been felt more keenly.
Joe Biden has said he will choose a woman – and the bets are strong he may choose a woman of colour.
Mr Biden previously served as Vice-President under President Obama between 2009-2017.
But what are the chances of the man who is currently pulling ahead in the polls? What does he have to do to win?
