A steady crowd could be seen gathering at the fence line as the sun set Tuesday evening. Many people stopped to take photographs through the fence of the White House. The rally preparations brought together a diverse constellation of groups, some decades old and others just formed. Cities around the nation are bracing for election-related unrest, including potentially weeks of sustained street actions.
