Eight people have been killed in a prison clash in central Mexico. Security officials say eight other prisoners were hospitalized. The fight broke out on Friday in the state of Jalisco as inmates were playing sports. Five people have been detained for their possible role in the conflict. Officials said they recovered two firearms and a homemade explosive device. Authorities are investigating whether any public officials were involved.
