FRANCE 24 English published this video item, entitled “EasyJet reports first annual loss in 25-year history as coronavirus hits travel” – below is their description.
The low-cost airline easyJet has reported an annual loss of £1.27 billion (€1.4 billion) for the year to the end of September, a first in the company’s history. Like its rivals, EasyJet’s finances have been hit by the slump in travel in recent months, and is operating only 20% of its flights in the last three months of 2020. Another travel industry titan, Airbnb, has seen its fortunes improve, reporting a return to profit in recent months, and plans to press ahead with a stock market launch.
