The number of places in refuges for women and children escaping domestic violence in NSW is set to almost double in the next four years.
It follows a surge in demand amid the state’s COVID lockdown, which many support services are still struggling to manage.
Domestic Violence NSW CEO Delia Donovan says their services saw a 73 per cent increase in demand during COVID-19 pandemic.
