A UPS cargo plane crashed in Dubai on Friday September 3rd 2010, it has been confirmed. The American courier service also announced that there were no known survivors aboard the Boeing 747-400, which was bound for Köln, Germany, and was thought to have two employees on board.
“This is a terrible tragedy and all of us at UPS extend our deepest sympathies to the families and friends of the victims,” said Scott Davis, UPS’s chairman and CEO. “We are doing our best to learn exactly what happened.”
An investigation team from UPS has been sent to the United Arab Emirates to learn more about what led to the tragedy.
