Hurricane Ian will be remembered as one of the most consequential weather events in recent U.S. history, having obliterated homes and businesses amid a still-rising death toll. As of Tuesday, at least 109 people have died, with 105 of those deaths in Florida and 55 of them in Lee County alone. In Southwest Florida, aerial footage showed the extent of the devastation left by Ian.
