The encounter, in Peurto Madryn, off the Patagonian coast of Argentina showed the 50ft whale nudge the woman’s paddleboard before diving below her, leaving her completely unharmed. Puerto Madryn’s tourism secretary Marcos Grosso said there an estimated 1,600 Southern Right Whales in the region. Tourists flock to the area to spot the magnificent creatures between May and December.
