Al Jazeera English published this video item, entitled “Driverless ‘Robo Taxis’ to hit South Korea’s streets” – below is their description.
For decades self-driving cars have been touted as the future of road transport.
But the road towards success has been paved with setbacks.
However, in South Korea’s capital, it appears that vision may have finally arrived.
Starting Tuesday, “robo-taxis” will ferry passengers between the Digital Media City rail station and nearby buildings, and they will be joined shortly by additional driverless cars and even a bus.
Al Jazeera’s Alexander Lerche reports.
