In the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims in Iran are finding ways to gather whilst observing social distancing during the coronavirus outbreak. One of the solutions is a Western-style drive-in theater where people can come to in their cars.
The nightly drive-in ceremony is a way for the Ramadan night prayers to continue whilst mosques around the country remain closed due to coronavirus.
Tehran’s Eram Park is a large theme park and acts as a perfect place for the community to gather. Mosques, holy sites and shrines have been closed since mid-March.
More than 6,300 people have lost their lives to Covid-19 and more than 99,000 Iranians have been infected.
