Footage released from Kent police shows the dramatic moment three officers attended to a man who was hanging off the side of a 50ft cliff at a disused quarry site.
The officers were alerted to the individual who intended to cause serious harm to himself.
The quick thinking constables created a makeshift hoist by linking their belts together, which enabled them to hold onto the man.
Luckily they were able to get some rope and pulled the distressed individual to safety.
