Dr. Jill Biden says despite talks of division, country is “coming together”

Dr. Jill Biden, the wife of Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, spoke on Tuesday at the party’s convention about how she came to his family after his wife and daughter died and that much like making a broken family whole, “love and understanding” can make a nation whole and that despite talks of a country divided, she has seen the country “coming together.”

She said they need honest leadership to help them out of the pandemic and “reimagine what our nation could be.”

Joe also joined her following her speech, saying “just think of your favourite educator who gave you the confidence to believe in yourself, that’s the kind of first lady this Jill Biden will be.”
