DR Congo says more than 270 killed in massacre by rebels

Al Jazeera English published this video item, entitled “DR Congo says more than 270 killed in massacre by rebels” – below is their description.

The government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) says 270 civilians were killed in a massacre in its eastern town of Kishishe last week.

The government also claims ‘children were killed’ in the attack and blames the killings on the M23 armed group.

The DRC accuses neighbouring Rwanda of backing the rebel group, an allegation that Rwanda denies.

The latest development in the conflict takes place as another round of peace talks wraps up.
