Conservationists in South Africa have revealed the cause of a so-called “freak accident” that resulted in the deaths of more than 60 endangered penguins. The birds were discovered last week at a nature reserve without any external injuries — but a postmortem found they suffered multiple bee stings. WARNING: This story contains distressing images.
