At least 35 people were killed and dozens more were injured in a deadly train crash in southern Pakistan on June 7, 2021, according to the country’s railway minister. The Millat Express train heading from Karachi to Sargodha derailed and was then hit by another train, the Sir Syed Express, coming from Rawalpindi. Railway officials said there were about 1,100 passengers on board the two trains. The cause of the derailment is not yet clear.
