The Telegraph published this video item, entitled “Donald Trump says he’ll ‘kiss everyone’,” after the incumbent US President said “I’ll walk in there I’ll kiss everyone in that audience” as part of proclaiming Covid-19 immunity at a Florida rally – below is the Telegraph’s description.
It began with a slap of the podium and “it’s great to be back!” It ended with the US president boogying and fist-pumping his way off stage to YMCA. During the hour in between on a sweltering night in Florida there was confirmation that, whatever the state of the polls, Donald Trump is past his coronavirus and ready to fight for his political life in what remains of this turbulent election campaign. Before a crowd of what must have been more than 3,000 in an airport hanger in Sanford, just north of Orlando, Mr Trump played all the old hits – the threat from radical socialists, the “historic” achievements of his first term, the distortions of the “fake news” media.
