ABC News (Australia) published this video item, entitled “Doctor ‘not shocked’ ATAGI changing AstraZeneca vaccine age recommendation | The Drum” – below is their description.
ATAGI, the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation, is no longer recommending AstraZeneca to anyone under 60 years old.
People aged 50 to 60 who’ve already had one dose of AZ are still strongly encouraged to get their second, but it leaves a big question over whether there will be enough Pfizer coming into the country to vaccinate everyone under 60.
Infectious diseases physician at the Doherty Institute, Kudzai Kanhutu says with all the ongoing research into the vaccine, she’s not surprised.
