Do you know the changes to the Highway code?

Sky News published this video item, entitled “Do you know the changes to the Highway code?” – below is their description.

Major changes to the highway code will prioritise pedestrians. horses and cyclists but most drivers aren’t aware of them.

From next week a driver could be fined up to £1,000 if they don’t give a 1.5 metre distance when passing a cyclist on a road, perform a dutch reach when opening a car door or if they turn and don’t give way to pedestrians crossing before entering the road.

Sky’s Katie Barnfield reports.
