Critics say Governor Ron DeSantis is retaliating against Disney’s opposition to a law limiting the teaching of gender identity and sexual orientation in schools.
The financial effect of the legislation is unclear, both on Disney’s profits and the state’s coffers. But the downstream effects on restaurants, hotels and other companies relying on the resorts are certain to be felt.
