Discovery of USS Peary propeller proves ship was ‘a sitting duck’ in Darwin Bombing | ABC News

A group of amateur divers have made a historic discovery, after finding parts of a ship wreck that’s been sitting at the bottom of Darwin harbour since World War II.

It’s believed they are propellers from the USS Peary, an American warship sunk during the Bombing of Darwin.
