Dina Asher-Smith: How she became the greatest ever British female sprinter | Tokyo 2020

The Telegraph published this video item, entitled “Dina Asher-Smith: How she became the greatest ever British female sprinter | Tokyo 2020” – below is their description.

Dina Asher-Smith is one of Team GB’s big hopes of a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics.

That is despite the form book showing she is not amongst the fastest women over 100m or 200m this year.

“We’ve seen before that she can perform on the day and that’s one of her greatest talents,” says Anna Kessel, The Telegraph Women’s Sports Editor.

As she explains in the video above, Asher-Smith is “able to deal with pressure in a way that others can’t – she enjoys that spotlight”.

Watch our profile for more about Asher-Smith’s personality, equally at home on her local track in Bromley as she is on the catwalk in front of Naomi Campbell, and how she used her Telegraph column to challenge assumptions about racism.
