    Rapidly digitalized world highlights urgency of bold commitments to ensure a common digital future for all and leave no one offline.

    The President of the UN General Assembly (PGA) is convening a one-day High-Level Thematic Debate on Digital Cooperation and Connectivity under the theme “Whole-Of-Society Approaches to End the Digital Divide”. The PGA decided to bring the international community together on this issue in light of the importance of digital connectivity and cooperation in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, and pursuant to numerous requests from Member States.

    The event will generate political commitments and leverage new and existing partnerships to address the widening digital divide as the world drives COVID-19 recovery efforts in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Member state representatives, UN entities, technology and telecommunications leaders, experts in digital governance and civil society will come together in three panel discussions and a High-Level Plenary.
