Dialysis patient Brian Pinker becomes first to receive Oxford-AstraZeneca Covid vaccine | ITV News

ITV News published this video item, entitled “Dialysis patient Brian Pinker becomes first to receive Oxford-AstraZeneca Covid vaccine | ITV News” – below is their description.

How long nationwide restrictions last is likely to hang on the speed with which vaccines can be delivered to the most vulnerable across the UK.

There was a major moment in that effort today, with the first dose of the Oxford-AstraZeneca jab being given to 82-year-old Brian Pinker.

And tonight, Boris Johnson said the NHS expects to have been able to offer the vaccine to everyone in the four top priority groups by the middle of next month. If they can do it – and there are still plenty of questions over just how – it would be a huge step back towards normality.
