Description of Johnny Depp as ‘wife beater’ is accurate, say newspaper lawyers in court | ITV News

The Royal Courts of Justice was the setting today for the high-profile Hollywood showdown between Johnny Depp and his ex, Amber Heard.

Depp is suing the publisher of The Sun over an article which called him a “wife beater”.

The actor denies ever being violent towards Heard.

But the newspaper’s lawyers insist it’s “entirely accurate” and Heard is expected to testify in court.
