Indonesia’s film industry, like others around the world, has been hard hit by the coronavirus pandemic.
It is one of Asia’s biggest markets, and with many of its cinemas closed, demand for streaming services is surging.
Some filmmakers are hoping the trend will help shake up the industry so it can better compete with foreign titles.
Al Jazeera’s Jessica Washington reports from Jakarta, Indonesia.
