At least 16 people have died and 36 others were reported missing after a torrential rainstorm lashed northwest China. More than 6,000 residents in six villages in Qinghai province have been affected by the storm, which hit in the late hours of August 17, 2022. More rain is forecast to hit the county in the next day.
