Shamima Begum is a denaturalised British born woman, who left the UK aged 15 to join the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant in Syria. Her intention to return to the UK in 2019 resulted in a public debate about the handling of returning extremists.
Shamima Begum now says that she is sorry for saying that Manchester Arena Bombing was justified! She further says that she will regret joining ISIS, her whole life! All this somehow is after the fact, is it not? Can she ever bring back the people whom the ISIS murdered in cold Blood? Begum was interviewed by BBC correspondent Quentin Sommerville on 18 February wherein she continued to espouse the ISIL ideology and to try to justify its atrocities. During the interview she did not at any time indicate any remorse or worry about any atrocities of Daesh but prolifically justified their action, comparing it to that of western countries. , She also in indicated that she was “groomed” to flee to Syria as a “dumb” and impressionable child. This also makes sense, but was she actually groomed (prior to leaving UK) to marry Dutch convert Yago Riedijk, 10 days after arriving in IS territory? She herself said that “she married”, not that she was’ forced to marry’ or that she was ‘coaxed to marry’ or that she was ‘cajoled to marry’ or even that she was ‘coerced to marry’. She does not say that she was ‘convinced to marry’. Now that all the fun and games are over she wants to get back to normal again? So, she married, well, this would indicate that the Daesh people were extremely good in psychological manipulation, right? If this was the case how come that Daesh lost and are but of no importance now? Now, how many Islamic girls do not know that aligning themselves with a terrorist outfit or any external agency is definitely a step towards allowing oneself to be totally at the mercy of any other orthodox Muslim people. We already know what happens to women in ultra-orthodox Islamic states like Afghanistan or Pakistan, did she not know this in 2015 being that she is from Bangladesh ?
At this stage ‘she says that she ‘simply wants to be brought back to the UK and face terror charges. This is really, a way for her to reach the UK from where regardless of her court decided fate is any, she knows that she can further manipulate the so-called layers who are readily available to stall her case and have her remain in UK for as long as they possibly can. How is it possible that she thinks that the world today is faced by the same ISIS after 6-7 years and a huge defeat at the hands of the world? Even after all this, the imbecile has the incivility to openly tell Prime Minister Boris Johnson that he clearly does not know what he is doing in regards to fight against terrorism!
If she could plan how to get to the Gatwick Airport, reach Istanbul and then make way to Raqqa, and then marry another convert within 10 days of reaching Raqqa, she can never be considered a dumb school girl. Are these all not the actions of a very conniving mind? These are not the steps of a dumb 15-year-old girl?
More than the ISIS grooming, it is this woman’s own ideas or ambition about life that led her to the path she followed till now. From being a nobody at the age of 15, she has reached a stage of being somebody now, at the age of 22. She is notorious the world over. She is known to every Tom, Dick and Harry. Everything she did so far, has been absolutely a publicity stunt.
From where she is right now, her situation does not seem to be so bad, she could simply marry another anti-establishmentarian Islamic nitwit and carry on with her life. She should never be allowed into UK any which way and purpose. Health secretary Sajid Javid is right in not supporting Shamima Begum’s requests.
