    Many of us have been working from home since the beginning of the pandemic. While that may have prevented us from contracting COVID-19 at work, it didn’t prevent us from cyberattacks. A report from Proofpoint, a U.S. based online security company, found that two-thirds of businesses around the world, including 63% here in Canada have seen an increase in targeted cyberattacks since the switch. Global’s Sharmeen Somani reports.

    As a highly developed country, Canada has the seventeenth-highest nominal per-capita income globally as well as the thirteenth-highest ranking in the Human Development Index. Its advanced economy is the tenth-largest in the world, relying chiefly upon its abundant natural resources and well-developed international trade networks.
