7NEWS Australia published this video item, entitled “Cruising ban lifted during COVID pandemic by the NSW Government | 7NEWS” – below is their description.
The NSW Government has revealed it will be welcoming back international cruise ships after more than two years.
The ban on cruise ships will officially be lifted on 17th April. The next day, Easter Monday, P&O’s Flagship ‘Pacific Explorer’ will return home to lead the restart of cruising in Australia.
It’s been parked off the coast of Cyprus since 2020 along with other ships usually based in Australia. They’ve been kept away from our waters since March 2020 after the deadly outbreak on the Ruby Princess.
