COVID: On the road with the ‘vaccine convoys’ in South Africa

Sky News published this video item, entitled “COVID: On the road with the ‘vaccine convoys’ in South Africa” – below is their description.

Sky’s John Sparks talks healthcare workers in South Africa delivering COVID jabs to rural communities amid concerns over low vaccination levels in the country – and the wider continent.

Only 17% of Africans have been fully vaccinated against coronavirus, compared to 66% in Europe, 69% in Asia and 74.5% in South America.

The numbers are thought to be driven by many factors, including poor access to healthcare services, as well as the prevalence of vaccine disinformation on social media.
