7NEWS Australia published this video item, entitled “COVID Omicron Variant labelled ‘not a bad one’ by Dr Nick Coatsworth | 7NEWS” – below is their description.

The Prime Minister is calling for calm.. until more is known about the new Omicron threat. Scott Morrison will meet with National Cabinet later today.. to discuss domestic arrangements.. in the wake of the mutant strain. He’ll be hoping for a unified response from Premiers about quarantine arrangements. But with WA already reconsidering its reopening plan.. and Queensland going armed with a list of questions.. National Cabinet could face more division. Former Deputy Chief Medical Officer and infectious diseases expert, Dr Nick Coatsworth, said that early signs out of South African indicated that the Omicron Variant may not be as bad as others we’ve faced.
